Labor Department releases first-time claims for jobless benefits for the week ended April 23, 8:30 a.m. (1230 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast a total of 392,000 new filings compared with 403,000 in the prior week.
Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago releases its Chicago Fed National Activity Index for March, 8:30 a.m. (1230 GMT). The index read -0.04 in the prior month.
National Association of Realtors issues Pending Home Sales for March, 10 a.m. (1400 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey expect a 1.5 percent increase compared with a 2.1 percent rise in the February.
Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City releases April manufacturing survey, 11 a.m. (1500 GMT). In March, the survey read 39.
