BurdgeCooper Acquires Ponte Graphics of Phoenix, AZ

LOS ANGELES, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BurdgeCooper, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ponte Graphics of Phoenix, Arizona. Ponte Graphics has provided Arizona's legal and professional market with quality printing and engraving services since it's owner, Mark Ponte, founded the company over 40 years ago.

"It's with joy and sadness that I've decided to withdraw from the engraving industry," Mark Ponte wrote in a letter to his customers. "With this in mind, we have made every effort to ensure our customers will continue to receive the quality and service to which they've become accustomed."

Since 1923, BurdgeCooper has provided law firms and nationwide businesses with award winning business cards, letterheads, envelopes, presentation folders, brochures, books and specialty publications for professional communication and marketing needs. With 56 presses in their Los Angeles and Atlanta plants serving global customers, BurdgeCooper is the world's largest engraver and one of the nation's biggest small-format commercial printers.

"Mark and I have known each other for decades so when he decided to retire from the printing and engraving business, Mark reached out to us." According to Don Burdge, president of BurdgeCooper, "Mark's customers will find the same high level of quality and service with us as they had with Ponte Graphics."

BurdgeCooper will maintain a Phoenix warehouse while printing services will come from Los Angeles. Hugh Griffin will manage the Ponte accounts along with customer service representative Colin Lee, formerly with Ponte Graphics and now with BurdgeCooper in Los Angeles.

BurdgeCooper provides engraving, offset, digital and letterpress printing in addition to foil stamping, die-cutting, embossing and thermography services to firms with global offices. Having won more Awards for printing excellence than any other small-format commercial printer in the nation, BurdgeCooper's expertise ranges from professional and corporate communications material to book printing.
