| Description | Pursuant to Rule 704(17)(d) of the Listing Manual, Asia Pacific Breweries Limited ("APB") is pleased to announce that it has increased its stake in Grande Brasserie De Nouvelle Caledonie S.A. ("GBNC") from 87.28% to 87.4% through the purchase of 840 shares representing 0.12 % of the share capital of the company ("Sale Shares") for an aggregate consideration of XPF 4,284,000 (approximately S$ 59,000). The purchase is not expected to have a material effect on the net tangible assets per share or earnings per share of APB for the current financial year and the said consideration was arrived at on a willing buyer and willing seller basis, taking into account the audited net asset value of the Sale Shares of XPF2,700,000 (approximately S$39,000) as at 30 September 2011 and profitability of GBNC. The purchase will be funded from internal resources. None of the directors or substantial shareholders of APB has any interest, direct or indirect in the acquisition transaction.
