LONDON (dpa-AFX) - African Barrick Gold (ABG.L) Wednesday released its production report for the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2011, stating that it has produced 160,020 ounces of gold during the fourth quarter. The company stated that, for the full year ended 31 December 2011, it had produced 688,278 ounces of gold, which was 2% lower than its production in 2010. For the fourth quarter, the company stated that it has sold 158,869 ounces of gold at an average realized gold price of $1,655 per ounce for the quarter. The company added that it had sold about 699,539 ounces of gold for the full year at an average price of $1,587 per ounce.
