Nextreaming just released a version of its famous player SDK for live HLS and Smooth Streaming on Android and iOS with a special license for the upcoming Olympic Games
Nextreaming (KOSDAQ:139670), leading provider of mobile multimedia software, announced the release of NexPlayer™ London 2012 Limited Edition, which should help broadcasters distribute the Olympic Games live to any iOS and Android device, including smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices.
The particularity of this player version is the limited license period,
making the licensing conditions more suitable for those broadcasters
distributing only during the period of the Games.
This product
otherwise offers the same outstanding video quality as the regular
player, including HLS support for all Android devices and Smooth
Streaming for all Android and iOS devices, solving the problem of the
strong market fragmentation in terms of device capabilities. The player
also provides other features such as local playback, subtitles and
advanced rendering. It can easily be integrated into any Android or iOS
application.
