CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Friday release October numbers for imports, exports and trade balance, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
In September, imports were at A$25.62 billion and exports came in at A$24.17 billion for a deficit of A$1.46 billion. Forecasts for October suggest a shortfall of A$2.2 billion. Australia also will see the November results for the AiG Performance of Construction Index; in October, it came in at 35.8.
Japan will provide preliminary October readings for its leading and coincident indexes. Analysts are expecting scores of 91.9 and 91.0, respectively, following scores of 91.6 and 91.5 in September.
Malaysia will announce October numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. In September, imports were at 53.74 billion ringgit and exports came in at 40.86 billion ringgit, resulting in a shortfall of 12.9 billion ringgit.
