| Description | In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of The Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980, read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3 and sub-clause (1) of clause 8 of the Nationalised Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980, the Central Government after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, has appointed Smt Archana Bhargava, Executive Director of Canara Bank, as Chairman and Managing Director, United Bank of India from the date of her taking over charge of the post till 28.02.2015 ie., the date of her attaining the age of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vide notification No. F.No. 4/4/2011-BO.I, dated 23rd April, 2013. She has taken charge at United Bank of India on 23.04.2013. This is for your information. |
