WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (TQNT), Wednesday reported first-quarter net loss of $27.9 million or $0.17 per share, compared to net income of $1.9 million or $0.01 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter dropped to $184.2 million from $216.7 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated loss of $0.12 per share on revenues of $186.39 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Looking forward to the second quarter, the company expects adjusted loss of $0.10 to $0.12 per share and revenues of $185 million to $190 million. Analysts currently estimate loss of $0.08 per share on revenues of $194.79 million for the quarter.
