The Running Springs, CA, Bonners Ferry, ID, and Naples, ID schools were recently closed, while the Sutton, VT school is still operating. The Brown Schools provided alternative educational programs in an alternative setting for at-risk students, including those with special education needs. The Brown Schools, Inc. and its subsidiaries filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy petitions on March 25, 2005 in the District of Delaware.
