Cord Blood Registry (CBR), the world's largest and most
experienced family newborn stem cell bank, welcomes Patricia Ferrin
Loucks as the Vice President of Consumer Marketing. CBR is the
industry leader in the collection, processing, and storage of newborn
stem cells derived from umbilical cord blood for use by that child, or
genetically related family members. As Vice President of Consumer
Marketing, Ferrin Loucks will play a key role in developing and
overseeing the company's strategic vision for business development
through marketing campaigns to consumers.
Ms. Ferrin Loucks brings over 20 years of marketing and industry experience to her work with CBR. Prior to her most recent position as a partner in GR8 Innovations, Ferrin Loucks was Senior Vice President at an enterprise software and Internet company, Medicalogic/Medscape Inc., where she was responsible for CBSHealthWatch.com and AboutMyHealth.com. She graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a B.A. in sociology and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.
"Patricia is a tremendous asset to the CBR management team," said Steve Grant, Co-founder and Senior Vice President of CBR. "She knows the marketplace, and being a client herself, she understands what expectant parents look for when choosing a cord blood bank for their family."
Ms. Ferrin Loucks banked her son's cord blood with CBR seven years ago. "Storing our son's cord blood with CBR was one of the smartest investments we ever made," said Ferrin Loucks. "I am excited to work for the industry leader and the most trusted company in family banking. Since joining CBR, I've learned even more about how newborn stem cells are currently being used to treat critical illnesses and open new doors in the field of regenerative medicine. I believe it is more important than ever that all expectant parents receive information about how saving the newborn stem cells from their baby's cord blood is their one-time opportunity to provide options for their family's future health needs."
