inSORS Integrated Communications, a Chicago-based
multimedia collaboration software developer, today announced that the
Software & Peripherals unit of Dell Computer Corp. (Nasdaq:DELL) has
expanded its products portfolio to include the availability of the
entire line of inSORS software and solutions. Dell is now authorized
to offer the inSORS Grid software suite and turnkey hardware solutions
worldwide.
The inSORS Grid solutions provide innovative state-of-the-art conferencing and collaboration tools that integrate a wide range of communications systems into a simple, easy-to-use platform. Dell Software & Peripherals can now resell the inSORS Grid to its targeted audience in small, medium and large businesses, and to those in the healthcare and education markets, as well as to federal, state and local government agencies.
"As our solution at the core is a software product that runs on standard PCs, partnerships with computer systems providers, such as Dell is a natural fit for inSORS," said Jim Miller, inSORS vice president marketing. "That Dell, a global market share leader in enterprise-class computing solutions, is now going to carry the inSORS Grid, highlights the growing demand for software based collaboration tools."
inSORS' IG2 software product has received high ratings from analysts in the video conferencing and collaboration markets. Andrew W. Davis, Managing Partner of Wainhouse Research, stated, "inSORS provides a rich collaboration environment that delivers power and flexibility for enterprise collaboration. It's not surprising that Dell would want to offer this capability to their customers. The combination of the inSORS software and the Dell product portfolio is a great example of the convergence of IP collaboration, videoconferencing, and telecommunications with the PC."
