During her 5-year tenure at BLB&G, Ms. Wilheim prosecuted several securities class actions and derivative actions, including In re WorldCom, Inc. Securities Litigation (which was resolved for $6.15 billion); In re Lucent Technologies, Inc. Securities Litigation (which was resolved for $517 million); In re Symbol Technologies Securities Litigation (which was resolved for $139 million); In re Independent Energy Holdings Securities Litigation (which was resolved for $48 million); and In re FirstEnergy Derivative Litigation (which was resolved for $25 million and significant corporate governance reforms).
In addition to these resolved actions, Ms. Wilheim prosecuted numerous ongoing securities class actions while at BLB&G, including In re Alstom SA Securities Litigation; In re King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Securities Litigation; In re Suprema Specialties, Inc. Securities Litigation; and Louisiana Municipal Police Employees' Retirement System, et al. v. Deloitte & Touche LLP (an action against Deloitte & Touche LLP concerning its role as Symbol Technologies, Inc.'s independent auditor).
Ms. Wilheim received her B.A. from California State University at Long Beach in 1992 and her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1996, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program.
