Tully recognized for organizational leadership as one of Computerworld's 2010 Premier 100
Mike Tully, Scottrade's director of vendor relations, was named a 2010 Premier 100 IT Leader honoree by IDG's Computerworld. Scottrade is a leading branch-supported online investing firm.
This year's Premier 100 spotlights 100 award leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies for their exceptional technology leadership, innovative ideas to business challenges and effectively managed information technology (IT) strategies.
"With more than 20 years of experience in both the IT and financial services industries, Mike is a defined leader for Scottrade, its IT department and fellow associates," said Ian Patterson, Scottrade CIO. "His involvement in securing vital IT partnerships with more than 300 third-party vendors is integral to the successful day-to-day IT operations of the firm."
As Scottrade's longest-tenured IT associate, Tully uses his extensive IT and financial services industry experience to bridge the gaps between internal business departments, technical groups and external third-party vendors. It is this experience that enables him to detect potential problems early in negotiations to prevent future conflict, maintain strong partnerships, avoid unnecessary spending, and most importantly, provide Scottrade with outstanding support that can be passed on to customers.
The Premier 100 awards ceremony will be one of the highlights of Computerworld's annual Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference March 7-9 at the JW Marriot Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Ariz. The Conference, to be attended by more than 375 influential senior IT executives, will showcase honorees and other IT innovators as they discuss how to create competitive IT organizations.
"The Premier 100 awards program shines a spotlight on the best of IT leadership and innovation," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. "Despite a tough economy, these senior IT leaders are seizing this rare moment to steer measured growth, embark on innovative pilots and build loyalty in their most valued workers. We're pleased to honor the achievements of these 100 men and women who epitomize calm and steady IT leadership."
