AMSTERDAM (AFX) - TomTom NV said its US rival Garmin lost its case, in its US patent infringement lawsuit against TomTom regarding five patents.
A court in Wisconsin said the five patents claimed by Garmin are either invalid, or are not infringed by TomTom's line of navigation products.
Garmin recently filed another patent infringement suit against TomTom in Texas. Regarding this case, TomTom said it believes this case is also without merit, and urged Garmin to 'focus on developing the market.' amsterdam@afxnews.com cmm/jfr COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2006.
