DHL Global Forwarding, part of the logistics division of DHL, announced today that it has relocated to larger facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah, to accommodate burgeoning demand for warehousing and distribution services in the region.
The new 45,000 square foot facility contains 35,000 square feet of warehouse space and 10,000 square feet of office space. The facility is located approximately 1.5 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport.
In addition to warehousing and distribution services, the facility houses the company's air freight, ocean freight and customs house brokerage operations.
"We are seeing robust growth in all our products, but in particular warehousing and distribution services," said Thomas Griffin, District Manager, DHL Global Forwarding. "As a result, it became apparent that we would quickly outgrow our former facility and would need more capacity. With two-and-one-half times more warehouse space, we will be able to manage our customers' current and future transport and distribution needs, and maintain our strong growth path in Salt Lake City," added Griffin.
The new facility is located at 1070 South 3800 West, Suite 500, Salt Lake City Utah, 84104.
