Fowler Products, a division of Pro Mach, has signed an agreement with AT2E (Pontcarre, France) to become the exclusive U.S. distributor of AT2E's manual and automatic torquemeters as well as leak testing systems for beverage, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and chemical packaging applications. The manual TMV-5 and automatic ADATMV-5 torquemeters measure the removal torque of closures accurately and nondestructively, providing real-time information to customers' quality control data collection systems. AT2E's manual PBV-1 and automatic PBV-2 leak testers measure the point at which seal failure occurs under pressure. AT2E torque and leak testing units can be used with both plastic and metal closures that are applied to either plastic, glass or metal containers.

Test data from manual units can be correlated to capping head position and entered into available AT2E software which stores the results and can calculate trend analysis on the data over time to monitor both the performance of the overall capping machine as well as the performance of individual capping heads.
Automatic units can be incorporated into the packaging line and integrated with a reject/sampling system to automate these quality assurance tests and data reporting features.
