South Floridians have a chance to preview the Chevy Volt concept, a plug-in, electric vehicle like no other, at various South Florida venues October 18 - 23. See schedule below.
More than seventy five percent of drivers in the United States commute fewer than 40 miles a day. For these drivers, a fully charged Volt will use no gas and produce no tailpipe emissions in this kind of day-in, day-out driving. The Chevy Volt can be recharged by plugging it into a common 110-volt/15-amp outlet.
GM has assigned more than 200 engineers and 25 interior and exterior designers to the responsible for producing the Volt. Final production timing for the Volt is dependent on the development of lithium-ion batteries suitable for hybrid and electric vehicle applications.
