For April, he forecasts the unemployment numbers will be about the same or possibly worse but the drop will not be as severe as March.
- On Jobs for Graduates and Summer Employment Opportunities
Drexel also believes that graduates seeking employment and students looking for summer jobs will have more trouble finding employment this year than in the most recent previous years but it won't be as difficult as it was during the last recession.
- On the Economy
Even though economic stimulus checks issued by the U.S. government are hitting consumers' bank accounts now and in the coming weeks, Drexel projects that it will take three to six months for this to impact business conditions and by that time, we may already be in a recovery.
