MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its corporate credit rating and other ratings on Corn Products International Inc. to 'BBB' with a stable outlook from 'BBB-' citing the company's improved operating performance and the related improvement in credit metrics.
S&P said the rating also reflects the company's standing as a leading corn refiner and processor, its emphasis on growing its higher margin food ingredient business, and its ability to maintain its financial profile despite the current high-cost commodity environment.
