LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Deere & Company said it has completed the acquisition of Plastro Irrigation Systems, Ltd., establishing the company as the third largest agricultural irrigation company in the world.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Plastro Irrigation, headquartered in Israel, will add significant momentum to the growth of John Deere Water Technologies, the company said.
John Deere Water Technologies, San Marcos, California, manufactures high performance plastic micro and drip irrigation products for the agricultural, nursery, landscape, and greenhouse markets.
