Munic (ots) - Bonfiglioli is proud to be present at the upcoming Intersolar fair (27th - 29th May 2009) with the latest solutions and products for the photovoltaic sector.
For power ranges up to 170kWp, Bonfiglioli offers the RPS450 solar inverter with an internal transformer for feeding into the low-voltage network. Due to the use of high-quality materials and special production processes, component losses are minimised and a higher degree of efficiency can be reached. Galvanic isolation between the power supply and the generator is guaranteed by the internal isolating transformers, in order to prevent the feeding of constant components.
The compact units of the RPS450 range can be interconnected, as often as desired, on the power supply side, which allows the implementation of large systems and permits a flexible adjustment on the solar generator.
Each inverter is equipped with communication interfaces and software functions, which allows it to be used in the master-slave network without additional components. The operation of the inverter module in the master-slave network provides high power output even in the part-load operational range, whereby the operating mode "alternating master module" guarantees an additional increase in the system life-span. Installation and commissioning of RPS is fast and easy: the start up of the device is done only by connecting power cables and turning on the main switch.
Bonfiglioli Riduttori saw years ago that alternative energy was destined to become an important area of growth, due to World's ever great need for energy. Therefore the Company invested in the development of mechanical (Trasmital gearboxes) and electronic solutions (Vectron inverters) capable of providing effective answers in the field of renewable energy.
Bonfiglioli's earnings from renewable energy applications currently account for a sixth of the group's turnover (664.5 million Euros in 2008). The figure in question is around 100 million Euros per year (2008 figure). 20.5 million Euros coming from photovoltaic technology, 86 million from wind and about 2 million from biomass and thermal solar. Bonfiglioli's short term objective is to achieve further growth before the end of 2009. According to C.E.O. Sonia Bonfiglioli, turnover from photovoltaics could top around 30 million Euros with a further 100 million Euros from wind power.
