LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - PetroChina, Asia's largest oil and gas company, is in talks with British chemicals maker Ineos about possible investment in Ineos's refinery at Grangemouth in Scotland, a local councillor said on Friday.
'PetroChina are in talks with Ineos about possible investment in the Grangemouth plant,' Angus MacDonald, told Reuters in a telephone interview, saying that Ineos told local people about the talks at a public meeting this week.
Ineos also said it was in talks with other parties, MacDonald said.
