Nigerian bourse suspends trading in five banks

LAGOS, Aug 17 (Reuters) - The Nigerian stock exchange on Monday placed a two-week suspension on trading in the shares of five banks which received a $2.6 billion bailout from the central bank on Friday.

The bourse said it was suspending trading in Afribank , Finbank, Intercontinental Bank, Oceanic Bank and Union Bank after the 400 billion naira ($2.6 billion) rescue announced on Friday.
