Wall Street Veteran to Cover Communications, Networking and Clean Tech out of Firm’s Boston Headquarters
America’s Growth Capital, a national, emerging growth-focused investment bank, announced today the hiring of Timothy Harned as Partner in the firm’s Investment Banking Group.
Harned will be based at the firm’s headquarters in Boston and will be focused on expanding transaction capabilities and relationships within the Communications, Networking and Clean Technology arenas. His extensive Wall Street experience spans Morgan Stanley, Banc of America Securities, Montgomery Securities and Lehman Brothers. For the last 12 years he has been focused on technology investment banking, having served in leadership roles as Managing Director at Banc of America Securities, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and Head of Technology and Media Investment Banking at Capstone Partners.
With over 20 years of investment banking experience, Harned has successfully completed more than 75 strategic advisory and capital raising assignments over his career, including buy-side or sell-side M&A transactions involving Alcatel, Cabletron Systems, Excel Switching, Glenayre Technologies, OPNET Technologies, RELTEC Corporation, Sycamore Networks, and Veroxity; IPOs for clients such as Concord Communications, Excel Switching, MKS Instruments, OPNET Technologies, Positron Fiber Systems, and Telaxis Communications; and equity and/or debt financings for clients such as Amdocs, Anaren Microwave, Axcelis Technologies, Corning, LTX Corporation, Omnipoint Communications, Phone.com, and Research in Motion.
Harned earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his AB in English from Kenyon College.
