Designed to improve today's routine radiographic procedures, the RadPRO® product line from Virtual Imaging, Inc., a Canon U.S.A., Inc. subsidiary, will feature Canon's current line of advanced portable and general digital radiography (DR) systems at the 2009 Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting (RSNA 2009), taking place at McCormick Place, November 29 – December 3. The current RadPRO® portfolio includes full general radiographic rooms, mobile X-ray solutions and DR upgrade solutions that emphasize the advanced DR imaging technology of the Canon CXDI-55 Series and CXDI-60 Series portable, multi-purpose flat panel detectors. In the Canon booth (#8339), the following Virtual Imaging products will be featured:
- RadPRO 40kW Digital Mobile X-ray System
Ideal for a faster, more streamlined approach to DR, this digital mobile solution receives an additional boost to its increasing popularity. Featuring a low profile, independent drive system and high frequency generator, the 40kW mobile will flex its DR muscle with the lightweight 7.5 pounds CXDI-55 Series digital flat panel sensor. Boasting a 14 x17 inch imaging area and approximately three - five second imaging preview, this integrated combination improves clinical efficiencies for bedside examinations as well as challenging trauma applications.
Introducing versatility and value in one clever package the RadPRO 40kW mobile can expand its DR capabilities with the CXDI-60 Series DR sensor. This compact flat panel detector weighs 5.9 pounds and delivers high quality images with its 9 x 11 inch imaging area. Ideal for NICU and pediatric applications, the CXDI-60C has a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator, with crystals that allow optimal light channeling properties for effective X-ray absorption and high signal-to-noise performance, providing less x-ray dosage to the patient - RadPRO Digital Upgrade Kit for AMX 4/4+
Expand the purpose of the AMX 4/4+ mobile with a Single or New exclusive Dual Panel upgrade kit. In addition, users can continue to tackle general bedside exams using the 7.6 pound Canon CXDI-55 Series digital flat panel with a 14 x 17 inch imaging area, then underscore your upgrade with the Canon CXDI-60 Series DR sensor that boasts a mere 5.9 pounds and 9 x 11 inch imaging area. These products can help the user to consistently capture high-quality digital images, perform necessary procedures, minimize patient disturbances and reduce the need to move critically ill patients. - RadPRO 4kW Portable X-ray System
Uncompromising power in a sleek, compact, portable system, making it ideal for military field use, mobile/ambulatory services or surgery suites, the RadPRO 4kW Portable X-ray unit folds into a compact configuration for easy transportation or storage. Essential highlights like an easy-to-use touch screen panel, manual collimator and CXDI-55 Series flat panel are complimented by short exposure times and immediate digital imaging results that are demanded in the field.
These solutions provide outstanding imaging performance in emergency, pediatrics and elsewhere by offering the flexibility to consistently capture and transfer high-quality digital images from routine diagnosis to beside examinations. In a matter of seconds these enhanced digital solutions support maximum efficiency, allowing healthcare providers to accomplish more imaging, which may aid in faster diagnosis.
"Delivering advanced radiographic imaging systems is pivotal in today's competitive landscape," said Tim Martinson, president, Virtual Imaging. "Healthcare providers are continuously seeking alternative diagnostic solutions that can streamline their overall workflow without compromising patient care."
Ultimately, these powerful upgrade solutions are ideal economic alternatives for healthcare providers seeking to enhance patient care, increase efficiencies and reduce costs without compromising the delivery of healthcare to patients.
