Customers, crews and partners played vital role in this week's efforts
Oncor completed its restoration efforts overnight to more than 90,000 homes and businesses that were affected by storm-related outages earlier this week. Every home or business that can receive power has been restored.
Since early Monday morning, Oncor crews, contractors and mutual assistance partners from Oklahoma and Houston have worked around the clock to replace poles, manage vegetation along the lines, remove downed power lines and repair structures, including two steel transmission towers. More than 1,800 individuals were involved in the storm restoration effort.
"We are extremely grateful to our customers for their patience and understanding during the restoration process," said Brenda Pulis, Oncor Senior Vice President of Transmission and Distribution System Operations and Measurement Services. "During difficult situations, we are reminded of the importance of safety, teamwork and perseverance – three qualities displayed this week by our crews and our customers who were without power for an extended period of time."
