Commuter Benefits Deliver Economic & Environmental Savings to Employers & Employees
Gerard Bridi, President of Accor Services USA, will be a featured guest speaker at the Benefits Selling Expo in Washington, D.C., on April 19-21, 2010. Bridi will be presenting along with Barbara Gonzales, COO of Fringe Benefits Management Company (FBMC). Jointly they will lead a discussion entitled, "How's your commute?"
With rising gas prices and traffic, the answer to that question is simple: commuting is stressful. But Gonzales and Bridi have a solution that can save clients' and their employees' time and money, decrease a client's payroll taxes and reduce the carbon footprint by utilizing a commuter benefit program.
Commuter benefit programs began as a part of the Clean Air Act and in the recent years it has gained popularity as employers and employees see the dual advantage of saving money and going green. The session will cover the legislation around commuter benefits; reasons for employers to offer them, and why employee benefits sales people would want to promote them.
Bridi and Gonzales will be speaking on April 20 at 3:30 p.m., but attendees are also welcome to visit with Bridi and the Accor Services team at booth 143.
