JPMorgan shuffles CFO, other execs
JPMorgan Chase & Co said Tuesday it is replacing Chief Financial Officer Michael Cavanagh with Doug Braunstein, the company's head of investment banking for the Americas, effective immediately.
Cavanagh will become the bank's chief executive of treasury and securities services, the company said.
Its shares fell 0.6 percent to $38.62.

expected profit
Jefferies Group Inc posted higher-than-expected quarterly profit on Tuesday behind record investment banking results. Net income rose to $85 million, or 41 cents per share, in the second quarter ended on May 31, from $62 million, or 30 cents per share, in the period ended on June 30, 2009.
Analysts, on average, expected a profit of 36 cents a share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. Net revenue increased 13 percent to $670 million from $590 million a year earlier.
The stock gained 5.5 percent to $24.15.

Walgreen reports quarterly results; shares dip
Shares of Walgreen Co fell 5 percent at $28.62 after the drugstore chain posted a lower-than-expected quarterly profit as sales of nonprescription items disappointed on Tuesday.

Futures down with global stocks on China caution
U.S. stock index futures dipped on Tuesday as investors took a more cautious view over China's vow of more yuan flexibility, while data on home sales was on tap later in the morning.
S&P 500 futures fell 2.8 points and were below fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures lost 23 points and Nasdaq 100 futures dipped 4 points.
