Taipei industry newspaper Digitimes quoted Trend Micro CEO Eva Chen as saying that if any offer attracted shareholders, she would respect their wishes, as one of the company founders.
The article did not mention any specific offers but linked the comments to Intel's recent takeover bid for anti-virus maker McAfee.
Chen also said she believes Trend Micro is worth more than McAfee, the paper reported.
The paper quoted Chen as saying that Trend Micro has spent $300 million in the last four years building a cloud computing infrastructure.
