The collaboration of Eventim, Europe's market leader in ticketing and 24-7 Entertainment, Europe's leader in digital distribution has produced an unprecedented, online store (music.eventim.de) where consumers can purchase concert tickets in addition to music and video downloads all in one place with the click of a mouse.
The music download store currently offers 2.2 million tracks ranging from pop to classical and everything in between with the majority of content available in MP3. The store features among other things, mini artist pages with pre-listening samples, a "˜Recommends' section, Top Singles and Top Album Charts.
Both the ticketing and music stores will be seamlessly integrated into one and other. When consumers purchase concert tickets, a pop-up window will offer them the opportunity to also purchase downloads from the artist. Additionally, on the music page you can access information on concerts and festivals.
Eventim plans to further expand their online entertainment platform to incorporate live recorded events and offer the music or videos exclusively as downloads; this will not only be of interest to music fans but it will also give both established and upcoming artists an additional promotional avenue to reach a wider audience.
The Eventim store will feature exciting promotions such as ticket offers bundled with music voucher codes, exclusive music releases and even realtime offers such as "Download Tonight's Encore for Free".
Additionally, plans are underway to augment the store by adding a merchandising component in the near future.
