NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Think Unlimited, a nonprofit organization working to improve education and empower youth in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, announced its commitment to expand its program training Jordanian teachers and improving quality education. The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment to Action, announced at the 2012 CGI Annual Meeting, will train 168 Jordanian public school teachers to implement ongoing afterschool interventions that build achievement motivation, critical thinking skills, and creativity in high school students.
Think Unlimited's commitment will include the implementation of a 12-week afterschool program called "Brain Builders," where students will learn and practice core cognitive skills including: acquiring information, organizing information, reasoning, strategy, decision making, opinion formation, perspective taking, and creativity.

Founded in 2011 by returned Peace Corps Volunteers Shaylyn Romney Garrett and her husband, James Garrett, Think Unlimited is an NGO working to advance a more positive form of Western engagement in the Arab world. In 2011 the Garretts were the only non-Arab speakers at Jordan's first TEDx event on Education, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship, and in 2012, they were finalists for the Echoing Green Social Entrepreneurship Fellowship.
