LOS ANGELES, May 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), the global leader in box office measurement, today announced the worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of May 19, 2013 as compiled by the company's Box Office Essentials' and International Box Office Essentials' theatrical measurement services.

As the trusted standard for all studio box office reporting, Rentrak provides intelligence into overnight theatre-level reporting across the global theatrical market. Coupled with the official reported data, studios are able to analyze admissions and gross results in over 50 territories using Rentrak's suite of products.

Rentrak's President of Theatrical Worldwide, Ron Giambra commented, "Star Trek Into Darkness is the No.1 film in the world with an estimated weekend gross of $110.6 million from 41 markets, its new global cume now stands at $164.6 million. The Great Gatsby is No. 1 film internationally with an estimated weekend gross of $42.1 million from 49 international markets with a new global cume of $132.3 million. Iron Man 3 has crossed the $1 billion milestone; new global cume is $1.073 billion."
