The twenty-seventh National Cadet Biathlon Championship began Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Martock, N.S. with 138 cadet biathletes and 60 cadet officials from every province and territory in Canada.
The championship will run until Friday, March 7, 2014.

-- The Cadet Biathlon Program is a recreational activity that has produced
Olympians like Jean-Philippe Le Guellec. Cadets learn valuable skills
through this Olympic sport, such as increased self-discipline,
confidence, and a sense of accomplishment.
-- The combination of power and endurance of cross-country skiing, coupled
with the precision and focus of marksmanship, make this sport especially
challenging, fun, and rewarding for cadets.
-- Having already competed at the local, zone and provincial/territorial
level, these young competitors are the best cadet biathletes in their
province and territory.
-- The races for the National Cadet Biathlon Championship 2014 include the
Mass Start, Pursuit Race, Relay Race, and the Patrol Race.
