Lexaria Bioscience Corp.: Lexaria Announces Upcoming Public Events and Warrant Exercise

KELOWNA, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 22, 2017 / Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (OTCQB: LXRP) (CSE: LXX) (the "Company" or "Lexaria") announces it will be attending and delivering a presentation at the upcoming Canadian Securities Exchange sponsored "Cannabis in the Capital Markets" event on September 27, in Kelowna, British Columbia. Also presenting at the event will be Dr. Philip Ainsle, Co-Director of the Centre for Heart, Lung and Vascular Health, UBC Okanagan Campus, Kelowna, Canada, who will be Principal Investigator of the previously announce clinical study to be conducted by UBC and Lexaria. Lexaria will also be attending and speaking at the Southwest Cannabis Conference and Expo in Phoenix, AZ on October 13 and 14. This B2B event is expected to attract thousands of attendees and more information can be found here.

Separately, Lexaria announced it has received US$93,750 from the exercise of warrants previously granted. The stock warrants were exercised at the price of US$0.15, for a total of 625,000 common shares being issued. The warrants are being exercised by a third party who is neither an officer nor director of the Company.

Following issuance of these common shares, Lexaria will have 68,600,761 common shares issued and outstanding. No commissions or placement fees have been paid related to the funds received from these warrants exercised. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
