(OTCQB:ROIUF)(TSXV:ROI) (the "Company" or "Route1"), an advanced North American provider of data-centric business empowerment solutions, today announced that it has entered into a settlement agreement with AirWatch and its parent company VMWare ending the patent infringement litigation between the parties in both the United States and Canada.
As previously disclosed, Route1 posted a fully collateralized bond with the United States District Court in Delaware in the amount of US$1,668,840 (the "Bond Amount") in connection with the court order awarding costs to VMWare and the appeal of this order by Route1. Under the terms of the settlement agreement, Route1 will pay US$1,400,000 (the "Settlement Amount") to VMWare.
Once the payment of the Settlement Amount is made, the litigation in both the United States and Canada will be dismissed and the difference between the Bond Amount and the Settlement Amount, US$268,840 less any fees and costs deducted by Liberty Mutual, will be returned to Route1.
