Tallinn/Riga/Vilnius, Nasdaq Baltic Market, November 10, 2022 - Nasdaq (NDAQ)
announces that shares of J. Molner (ticker: MOLNR) have been admitted to
trading on the Nasdaq Baltic First North Market by Nasdaq Tallinn as of today.
J. Molner is building a new, specialty pharmaceutical company with Estonian
roots.
The listing of the J. Molner shares follows the initial public offering to
Estonian and Latvian investors. The demand for the shares was approximately 700
000 euros and a total of 838 investors subscribed to the shares.
"Becoming a public company requires courage. Not all companies have it, but I'm
convinced the most ambitious ones do," said Kaarel Ots, CEO of Nasdaq Tallinn.
"I'm very happy to welcome J. Molner to our First North list and point out that
they are the only pharmaceuticals company listed on the Baltic exchanges."
"J. Molner is glad to start the journey of a public company on the Nasdaq
Tallinn. Being currently in the middle of research and development process, we
clearly have ambitions to extend our business, out from Tehnopol in Tallinn, to
the large pharmaceutical markets in the USA and Canada," said Jason
Grenfell-Gardner, Founder of J. Molner AS.
The law firm Ellex Raidla advised the company in the listing process and serves
as the certified adviser for J. Molner on the First North market.
J. Molner is a pharmaceutical company aimed at providing its customers with the
highest level of generic drug development for specialty generic
pharmaceuticals. Generic drugs are non-patented alternatives to patented
originator drugs. Such generic drugs may be distributed once the patent
protection period on the original drugs has expired.
Based in Estonia, Molner's primary focus markets are in the USA and Canada due
to their size and the competitive advantage that an Estonian company can
achieve on these markets. However, Molner provides its laboratory analytics
services to local Estonian and European customers as well.
Nasdaq First North Market is tailored to support smaller, growing companies
that want to raise capital and get the visibility and credibility of being a
public company. For investors, First North offers an opportunity to invest in
companies that are at an earlier stage of their growth.
