Fabege AB: Fabege starts construction of a further 132 residential properties in Haga Norra

The development of Haga Norra, Arenastaden's urban district, continues. Through its wholly owned subsidiary Birger Bostad, Fabege is starting construction of a further 132 tenant-owned apartments in the district's fourth residential block. Construction is scheduled to start in autumn 2026, with the first residents expected to move in during 2028.

Haga Norra is emerging as a vibrant, mixed-use district with homes, workplaces, restaurants, retail and meeting places. Today, more than 1,200 people live here and around 2,000 people work in the area. With proximity to public transport, services and green spaces, demand is strong. Solna station is within a four-minute walk, and from 2028 Arenastaden will also be served by the new metro line.

"We are continuing to develop Haga Norra step by step. As an urban district developer, this is a natural part of our strategy. The investment in Block 4 amounts to SEK 360 million, and our long-term approach, financial stability and positive experience from previous residential projects in the area mean that we see good opportunities to move forward with the development," says Bent Oustad, CEO of Fabege.

The new residential block comprises a total of 132 tenant-owned apartments with one to five rooms and a kitchen. Most of the apartments will have a balcony, patio or roof terrace. The architecture in Haga Norra is characterised by classic qualities and an urban block structure.

"Interest in the homes in Haga Norra has been strong from the start, and the previous projects have been very well received by the market. We will now be able to offer more attractive homes in a district that more and more people want to be part of," says Fredrik Alvarsson, CEO of Birger Bostad.

Haga Norra continues to grow

Fabege has previously developed two residential blocks comprising a total of 418 tenant-owned apartments, in a joint venture, all of which have been sold. In 2025, Ackordet 1 was completed, comprising 27,000 square metres of workplaces, including a gym, conference facilities and restaurants.

In parallel, Fabege and Birger Bostad are developing Block 5, with 288 homes in the form of rental apartments, tenant-owned apartments and owner-occupied apartments. Parts of the block have already been occupied, and the project is now in its final phase, with completion scheduled for after summer 2026.

Construction of Block 3 is also planned to start at the end of 2026. The block will contain a care home, which has already been leased to Stockholms Sjukhem, as well as a preschool and rental apartments.
