AMSTERDAM (AFX) - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines NV said it will donate 5 eur from each ticket sold in its Dutch home market from Jan 6-9 to Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties (SHO), a coalition of major relief organisations in the Netherlands, in aid of tsunami relief efforts.
A similar initiative is being taken over a longer period in Sweden, the country which was relatively worse hit by the tsunami.
Earlier this week KLM said it is donating cargo capacity to facilitate the transportation of 20,000 kilos of relief supplies to southeast Asia.
