OSLO (AFX) - Norsk Hydro ASA is studying the possibility of building an aluminium plant at Murmansk in Russia, powered by gas from the Barents Sea.
During a visit by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov to Norsk Hydro's site in Aukra, the land facility for the Ormen Lange oilfield, Norsk Hydro president and chief executive Eivind Reiten said the possibility of opening the aluminium plant will be among the subjects to be discussed this week with Yury Evdokimov, governor of the Murmansk region.
