FRANKFURT (AFX) - DaimlerChrysler AG has upwardly revised the 2006 financial targets for the Smart Fortwo model, chief financial officer Bodo Uebber said in an interview with Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
He gave no specific information on current targets and how they compare with previous forecasts.
He said the tiny, two-passenger car is well positioned in various markets around the world and sells at a premium price.
He added: 'We have even raised the financial plans for 2006 although the model is now in the eighth year of its model cycle. Once the new Fortwo model is launched in the market in 2007, we will achieve profitable figures.' marilyn.gerlach@afxnews.com mog/cw COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. All rights reserved.
