LONDON (AFX) - British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC has run into supply trouble on the launch day of its high-definition TV (HDTV) service as many subscribers are told they will have to wait until early August for their set-top boxes, the BBC website reported.
The satellite operator is launching its HD service today with channels showing films, sport and entertainment, and which can be subscribed to with a compatible television and set-top box.
The website reported that Sky admitted 'more than enough' boxes were ordered but not all had arrived.
'We're working hard to resolve the situation,' said Robert Fraser, Sky's head of corporate press. newsdesk@afxnews.com ks/ak COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. All rights reserved.
