
The figure compares to a surplus of 254.3 million euros in August and a 95.1 million surplus a year earlier.
Imports in September fell by 23.6 percent compared to a year earlier in euro terms, while exports were down by 17.7 percent.
Hungary's imports have suffered this year as the global economic crisis ate into domestic consumption, and exports are down as the crisis has cut demand for locally made goods, especially manufactured products.
In the first nine months, Hungary recorded a trade surplus of 3.314 billion euros, compared with a deficit of 171.6 million euros in the same period of last year.
