HAMBURG, Germany, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Stephan Schaller's exit as head of Volkswagen's commercial vehicles business is unrelated to the German group's efforts to forge a truckmaking alliance with MAN and Scania, a source close to the situation told Reuters on Monday.
'This has nothing to do with the alliance we are trying to reach with MAN and Scania', the person said.
VW had announced that Wolfgang Schreiber would replace Schaller, 52, who was leaving the group by mutual agreement as of Feb. 1.
