BRIEF-Air Berlin cuts firm Boeing 787 order to 15 from 25

FRANKFURT, March 16 (Reuters) - Air Berlin:

* Says streamlines Boeing Co order book

* Says agreed on a reduction of the number of firm orders of 787 aircraft from

25 to 15

* Says also agreed to reduce the number of optional 787 aircraft from 10 to 5

* Says agreement also provides that the delivery of 9 Boeing 737 aircraft will

be rescheduled to 2015

* Says agreement means significant reduction of financial obligations
