-- A total of 11.6 billion yuan ($1.7 billion) was settled by the end of February since China launched a pilot scheme last July to allow companies to settle imports and exports in yuan in some regions, a move which marks a big step towards eventually internationalising the Chinese currency.
-- The People's Bank of China (PBOC) is studying the possibility of establishing a yuan offshore market in Shanghai in addition to supporting Hong Kong to set up such a market, the central bank's deputy governor Su Ning said.
