Wheelock Properties shares halted on privatisation

HONG KONG, April 19 (Reuters) - Wheelock Properties Ltd said on Monday trading in its shares was suspended pending a statement regarding a possible privatisation by its controlling shareholder.

It gave no further details.

Wheelock and Co currently holds 74 percent of Wheelock Properties, which is a shareholder of Wharf Holdings .

Wheelock Properties eased 0.37 percent to end at HK$5.33 on Friday. Wheelock and Co eased 0.2 percent to HK$24.35 by 0218 GMT on Monday, and Wharf was down 0.88 percent to HK$44.80.
