April 27 (Reuters) - Electronic payment processor Fidelity National Information Services Inc reported adjusted quarterly earnings that beat analysts' estimates, helped by a jump in processing and services revenue.
Net income for the first quarter was $93.6 million, or 25 cents a share, compared with $33 million, or 17 cents a share a year ago.
FIS said adjusted profit was 41 cents a share.
Analysts on average were looking for a profit of 39 cents a share, before items, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Adjusted revenue rose 4 percent to $ 1.26 billion. Processing and services revenue climbed 57 percent to $1.25 billion.
Shares of the Jacksonville, Florida-based company closed at $25.04 Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
