MyCreditMonitor Launches New Infographic Resource Page

LONDON, June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

In the world of credit and credit scores, numbers are pivotal.

Infographics are great for visually representing complex facts and statistics in creative ways, making it quicker and easier for people to understand and process the information being conveyed.

So, in a bid to increase credit score awareness to the mass consumer market across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom, MyCreditMonitor has launched a new infographics resource page.

Visitors can access infographics that address credit-based issues, such as understanding what exactly a credit score is, to being aware of what a credit report is, to finding out what the top 5 credit score myths are and dispelling them so that consumers can identify what is true and what is not in the subject of consumer credit.

A credit score can range from any value between 0 and 999, where the higher the value is, the better the creditworthiness of a consumer is perceived to be by potential lenders, employers, landlords and retailers.

Creditworthiness, in turn, refers to the levels of financial risk that a consumer has. If they are less of a financial risk, it means that they are likely to be able to make credit repayments on time and in full.

A recent survey conducted by the largest consumer body in the country Which? finds that 53% of the 1,000 respondents have not accessed their credit score and credit report.

This finding indicates that there is more work to be done in terms of spreading awareness on what consumer credit is and the significance it has on household finances.

Jenny Walker, Product Marketing Manager at MyCreditMonitor says: "At MyCreditMonitor, we not only provide our customers with access to their credit scores, credit reports and credit ratings, we also help them become credit conscious.

By 'credit conscious', we refer to raising consumer levels on the way the world of credit works and how regularly monitoring credit scores and reports could help consumers practice better, effective credit management.

We do this by adopting a creative approach in providing information and guidance on all things credit-related. Our infographics serve as a prime example of this."
