Schroders is delighted to announce that Morningstar Asia
Ltd., a subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc., a leading provider of
independent investment research, has named Steve Lear a 2005 Fund
Manager of the Year winner in the North America Fixed Income category
for the Hong Kong region.
Steve received the award for managing the Schroder ISF US Dollar Bond. The Manager of the Year award is based on a range of factors, including: the consistency of the investment strategy and dedication to investors, long-term risk-adjusted returns, stability of the management team, and one-year performance of the fund.
Peter Clark, CEO of Schroders Americas, said:
"This is a great recognition for Steve and for Schroders fixed income team. Over the years, we have built an exceptional fixed income team in the US with a diverse range of products that span the risk spectrum. Above all, we have some of the best talent in the industry, and Steve's award reflects that."
Schroder ISF US Dollar Bond was launched in December 1997. The fund aims to provide capital growth and income primarily through investment in a portfolio of bonds and fixed and floating rate securities denominated in USD.
To recognize the best fund managers in Hong Kong, Morningstar Asia Ltd., a subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc., each year selects leaders in two categories - equity and fixed-income. Morningstar Asia established the award in 2002. Morningstar, Inc. established the first Fund Manager of the Year award in 1988.
