SEATTLE (AP) - Gourmet coffee retailer Starbucks Corp. said Thursday it will begin offering coffee-flavored chocolate products in the fall under an agreement with confectioner Hershey Co.
Starbucks said 'expert chocolatiers' are developing products that use Starbucks coffee flavors as a base. The company said the chocolate could also include fruit, nuts, herbs and spices and will carry the Starbucks brand.
Besides its name brand chocolate products, Hershey also sells Scharffen Berger fine chocolate and Joseph Schmidt truffles.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
